The Victorian Government’s consultation paper about reform of Psychiatric Disability Rehabilitation and Support Services looks like a serious first step towards addressing a really important problem. But the bureaucratese in the paper is something to behold. Try this choice cut:
Information Technology (IT) has a central role to play in enabling improved management of client
pathways and monitoring of, and accountability for client outcomes. Outcome measurement coupled with
outcome-focused KPIs that are linked to funding and service agreements will play a key role in
supporting continuous improvement, service quality and strengthened accountability.
